Cohesive design

All of the newest desgns for my summer line. This red and green jasper cabochon came from Geoffreys Cabochons.

The turquoise cabochon is from my collection of turquoise, it looks like something from Kingman Mine, not sure. If you recognize the type of turquoise it is please let me know in the comments thanks.

All the rings are sterling silver, I like sterling to be very bright like fine silver so I left a satin finish on all the backplates for the large cabochon rings.

Turquoise ring for a dear friend

I recently found an old friend and wanted to make her something special as a loving gesture, I've missed her dearly. She is very special to me.

I wanted to make something modern but that also spoke to her Native American heritage. It's turquoise and sterling silver.

Trending middy rings

I usually shy away from trends, more of a trend setter but I am liking the middy ring trend. Plan to make more for sale.

Recycled Sterling silver band

I made this and the men's band from sterling silver jewelry that was saved from the bin!

Handforged Sterling Silver band for men

Past two weeks I've been working on this for a friend's b day. I don't have his ring size so I made it adjustable.

update: he loved it! :^)

Taking a short break

Just got another epidural for my neck area, and my lumbar is way over due for one plus my freaking right arm tendonitis just will not heal and I cannot use my arm at all.

But on a more positive note finally started using silver and I love it!

American Lapidary Artisans post 2

Rod from Foxcabochons has a great selection at super prices, he has 42 years of experience at making cabochons.  I had to put a cab on reserve for myself ;^).... so you can't have it! LOL but seriously check out these selections I found that I thought you would like.

Dino Bone (DB112814)

Dino Bone

I love the red and brown shades. Who knew Dino bones were so pretty :^)

Crazy Lace Agate (CLA052115)

This shape is great, the natural space in the cab is pretty cool

 Agate Cabochon (A061915)
I love the sharp point on this one and the dark colors.

Take a look at the beauty of Elementaldesigns!!! Denise's cab's are works of art, the type of cabochon's that wind up in a serious collectors display or a museum. Incredible stones!  She is self taught and has a great eye for design.

and since I am crazy for those Sonora Sunrise Chrysocola cab's I will add one to this post too, I loooove it...
Sonora Sunrise Cabochon Red Cuprite With Touches of Chrysocolla

I found Jim at CabochonDesigner he has a great selection of cab's he has made for super reasonable prices.

Plus I also ordered some preforms from James of MojaveJimTradingPost
I couldn't believe how low his prices were I was able to pick some great preforms for my beginning rock/cab collection! I am so excited to get my shipment ;^) I am loving picking out preforms, they are so beautiful just as they are in my eyes.

 Agate Preform Cabochon

 Brecciated Agate Preform Cabochon

 Priday Agate Preform Cabochon
alot of these are under $3.00! I was so excited to find his shop, I have a new addiction,... rocks!

I am not being paid in any form to promote these people. I just love rocks and the artisans who try to support themselves and thier families with it. We NEED to support each other by buying from each other. We need to start producing our own goods and help each other stay in the game.
"create and prosper!"  lol I'm such a dork ;^) .... but seriously

Really love what I got on @Etsy from RareBeautySupplies. #etsystar

These are dry so they are no where near as beautiful as they will be after polishing. From lower left to lower right: sodalite, chrysocolla, mexican agate, jasper, and malachite!

Moonstone and copper ring

I started this a week ago, finally finished it. I designed this just for me. Not Etsy, and I promised myself I wouldn't give it away as a bday gift either lol!
I wanted the ring to be very plain and understated but just a tiny bit over the top at the same time, I deliberately left marks on the bezel. I like how plain it is , but the detailing is simply the tool marks with the tiny scratches.
